ABOUT EVENT:
location:
Zhovten Cinema, Classic Hall

Millennia-old Kyiv is craving to get queer!

We’ve seen Prides on the streets of big cities, but so many Ukrainians have never marched in their hometowns. As part of the SUNNY BUNNY program, we’re hosting a panel discussion where we’ll talk about:
🫦 Why Pride parades chose Kyiv and Kharkiv;

🫦 What it took for those cities to make it happen;

🫦 What they’re proud of;

🫦 What events never took place and why;
🫦 How the police support Pride.

Speakers:

  • Ksenia Termasina, feminist film club curator, activist of the disrupted Trans Day of Visibility action in Lviv;
  • Yuliia Shypitko, program manager at KyivPride;
  • Yakiv Lavrynets, communications manager at Kharkiv Women’s Association Sphere, KharkivPride co-organiser;
  • Bohdan Zhuk, director of the first Ukrainian LGBTQIA+ festival SUNNY BUNNY and programmer at Molodist IFF since 2014;
  • Arthur Ozerov - AuRa, first openly gay Ukrainian civil servant and travesty performer.

Moderator: Kostia Andriiv, communications manager at the human rights organisation Gender Zed
Language: Ukrainian
