The SUNNY BUNNY Queer Film Festival, returning for its second year in Kyiv, unveiled new design and announced free festival passes for Ukrainian militaries‍From April 19 to 26, Kyiv will host the Second LGBTQIA+ Film Festival SUNNY BUNNY. The festival team, led by director Bohdan Zhuk, is grateful to the Ukrainian Army for the opportunity to hold a big film event.

According to the decision of the jury: Frank Finance-Madureira, Dennis Ruh and Anna Melikova, the main prize of the International Feature Film Competition went to the film My Emptiness and I by Adrián Silvestre.

The SUNNY BUNNY LGBTQIA+ Film Festival, which will be held in Kyiv from June 22-28, 2023, announces an industry section that will include special screenings, panel discussions, public lectures and workshops.On June 24 and 25, two special screenings will be held at the Zhovten Cinema.

They are: Franck Finance-Madureira, Dennis Ruh and Anna Melikova.

The team of SUNNY BUNNY presented films for programs such as: Panorama, Ukrainian Queer Retrospective, Queerby, X BORDERS, International Short Films: Decolonize, Reclaim, Rebuild and Queer Fighters. It was also announced which films will be the Opening and Closing films of the film festival.

Sunny Bunny os Kyiv IFF Molodist’s LGBTQIA+ program that has been part of the festival since 2001 and stands for the values of human rights, understanding, and diversity. Molodist was the second after Berlinale among big international film festivals to introduce a special award for LGBTQIA+ films and create a special program for them.
