Myung is a transgender who cut ties with her family and hometown because of who she is. Now, all she needs is the surgery. Her father passed away and Myung finds out that he left a will that he will give her the legacy if she performs Drum Dance during his 49th memorial ritual.
Born in Seoul, 1991, director Byun majored in Oriental philosophy and Film at Sungkyunkwan University. His short film GOD’S DAUGHTER DANCE was invited and awarded in Clermont-Ferrand International Short Film Festival, and including this film, his shorts were acknowledged in various film festivals. PEAFOWL is his first feature film.
